4. Team teaching information literacy and research skills
5. Supporting the development of research and assessment tasks

Library Catalogue
In your portal you have a personal link to the School Library Catalogue - just look for "My School Library". You can access this from anywhere (school, home, Ryde Library, a shopping centre with wireless) on the internet.
To find books on a particular subject, just type the keyword in the search box. Make sure you spell it correctly or it will not work.
To find a particular book or author, click on the "Titles" or "Names" button and type the title of the book or surname of the author.
The search will return a list of books, videos, posters, websites and other resources in the library. Click on the tabs or the resources to find out more (and where they are). If you find a useful website, click on the URL and it will take you directly to the website.

Borrowing
Students may borrow 2 fiction and 2 non-fiction books (year 7/8) or 3 fiction and 3 non-fiction books (year 9-12) for 2 weeks.
Books may be reserved for one week. Books not borrowed within one week will be returned to the shelf.
All study guides are overnight loans only and must be returned the following morning so other students can use them.
Printing
Printing is available before school, at recess 2 and lunchtime. Colour printing costs 20c per page; black and white pages cost 10c. Double side your pages to save money and trees! Check what you are printing before you hit the print button, as you will be charged for "accidental" printing.
