Literacy Strategies
This page will include links to two different sorts of resources - links about teaching literacy for your professional development and links to actual literacy resources. It's a new page so it will take a while to fill up. When I have more links I will separate them into faculties, but meanwhile have a look at strategies even if they're not for your subject because most strategies can be easily adapted to new content.
Don't forget to look in the Teacher Reference Room behind Noel's Office. We have lots of books on teaching literacy (TR 371), general literacy activity resources (TR 428) and blackline masters for specific subjects (eg Science TR 500s, PDHPE TR 600s, Geography TR 910s).
It's also worth looking at the ESL and LD pages for sites where student can practice literacy skills online.
